How it works
01
Students post learning requests for free with their university, course code and name. Eligible approved tutors apply, and students have 48 hours to respond after an application is delivered.
02
Student acceptance opens that application's independent chat only, without sharing emails or confirming a final match. The first successfully opened chat per request is free; each later opening costs A$2.00, or a full A$2.00 platform credit offset.
03
After chatting, the student confirms the final match to release both verified login emails together, with no further charge. Lesson fees are separate, agreed and paid directly. Existing tutor offers, plans and application records remain available.
Lesson fees are separate
A tutor's hourly rate is a lesson price, separate from platform application and chat fees. Students and tutors agree and pay lesson fees directly; Bapog does not collect them. Agree any trial lesson duration and fee in advance.
Tutor base fee and optional platform bid
Tutor registration and posting are free. The launch base fee defaults to A$0; full pricing uses A$15 when enabled. Optional bids go entirely to the platform in whole AUD; a positive bid must exceed the current eligible highest by at least A$1. Real payments are not open; only an isolated development preview may enable Stripe test checkout. Applications do not guarantee replies or lessons.
Participants must be at least 18 and tutoring stays online. Students need a verified university email; tutors need profile approval, which is not certification of ability or qualifications. Final match confirmation rechecks both login emails and sharing consent, never substituting a school verification email. Emails already viewed or copied cannot be recalled. Public posts must still contain no contact details.
