Student and tutor pricing
Apply, chat, then confirm your match
Posting learning requests, browsing, tutor registration and tutor posting are free. Tutor applications and student chat openings use the platform fees below. Lesson fees are agreed separately. Real payments are not open.
Students: first chat per request is free
Accepting a tutor application opens its independent chat only. It does not confirm a final match or share emails. The first successfully opened chat per request is free; each later opening costs A$2.00, or a full A$2.00 platform credit offset. Student confirmation of the final match releases both verified login emails together, with no further charge.
Tutors: base fee and optional platform bid
The launch base fee is waived by default (A$0); full pricing uses an A$15 base fee when enabled. An optional bid goes entirely to the platform and must be in whole AUD. A positive bid must exceed the current eligible highest bid by at least A$1. Application fees are independent of hourly rates and lesson counts. Each tutor can apply to a request once.
Real payments are not open
Only the isolated development preview may enable Stripe test checkout. Lesson fees are separate and paid directly between student and tutor; Bapog does not collect lesson fees or guarantee replies or lessons. Agree any trial lesson duration and fee in advance. Email sharing does not grant access to private course files.
Tutoring stays online using tools both parties agree on. In-person meetings are not supported. Share meeting links privately, never on public pages. Stop communicating, report or block someone if you feel unsafe.
